What does it mean if I have to
adding coolant and there are no
leaks

Check the radiator cap for not holding pressure the coolant isnt boiling over?Also you can use a coolant pressure tester to look for leaks or add some coolant dye and use a dye light to find leaks.How hot is the engine running temp wise?
