The heat in my car does not work, I have to drive around for at least 20 minutes, shut the car off, turn it back on then the temperature gage will move and heat will come out. The heat only comes out for a couple of minutes then it will blow cold air and the gage will drop back down again. With winter coming soon I would like to know how to fix this problem.

check coolant level sounds like it's low then have a pro pressure check system for leaks.
