When I am driving my trailblazer the engine sounds like
it is in a different gear. It's sounds like my engine is running
faster, rpm doesn't change. If I drive 60 mph the engine feels
like it's running faster although the tach remains where it should be.
Like driving up a hill when there is no hill. Could this be my transmission
going out? It is shifting fine and I just had trans fluid flushed.

Thanks.

Could the sound be the radiator fan roaring?

Thank you I will have my mechanic look at the radiator
fan. I will let you know if that is the problem.
Is there a way for me to check this out without taking tb to
mechanic?

It's just a matter of listening to it and find out if that is where the noise is coming from. This is a computer controlled, variable speed fan that they have a lot of trouble with and if it is stuck on high speed, it will make a lot of noise when accelerating.
