message error says"service tire monitor system" and my controls don't work to lock or unlock my truck

You are dealing with two different issues. As far as the tire issue, have the computer scanned to identify where the problem is coming from. Chances are there is a sensor that isn't working correctly. As far as the controls, check to make sure there are no bad fuses and that the switch is getting power.
