check engine light is on

I have a 2007 chevy suburban that is displaying the check engine light, service stabili-track, and service traction control light as well. The vehicle also emits a rich smelling light grey smoke and stutters when breaking, slowing down and the transmision shifts hard from 1st to 2nd.

What you need to do is have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. The items you listed are all tied together. Chances are there is a sensor issue causing the problem.
