2007 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Drivers side half shaft replacement

2007 CHEVROLET MONTE CARLO

We have disconnected everything connected to the half shaft. We can't get the half shaft off at the transmission. There is a frame rail running directly under the connection point so we can't get a screw driver under it at all. Any suggestions?
