My daughter is interested in uying this car it has a ecotech engine. we have been told that these engines are no good. Is this true?

they are just like other cars, things can go wrong but keep the maintainence up. they are overhead cam so have it scanned for codes listen for distinct noises etc. if car is not at a lot check battery for condition and if it's dirty it may not have been taken care of. Just have a local mechanic take a look at it he will tell you what he thinks.
