The evap system is the inside of the fuel tank. The most common reason for that code is leaving the gas cap loose or off. I would check the cap and clear the code and see if it comes back. It doesn't effect engine performance at all.

Start with checking the fuel cap and the EVAP system for leaks look for a vacuum leak in the system, start here.
