Hello. The check engine light came on. I scanned with a ( auto enginuity) brand code reader and the code was PO449 Evap emission control vent valve solenoid/circuit. The canister vent 10 amp fuse in the fuse box ohms out good. I assume the evap. canister is next to the fuel tank so I ohmed out the solenoid and the value was 24 ohms. I do not have a manual for this vehicle so I do not know the correct value I all so cleaned a rusty ground terminal near the fuel tank There is no damaged wiring in the fuel tank area. Any other ideas? Thank you in advance for your help. Glen.

this works with voltage so you need 6-12 volts going to it but you need a pro model scan tool to tell it to engage with engine off and not moving. they get clogged with dirt and quit working most of the time so try replacing it.
