how do i reset the check engine light in my 2007 Chevy Equinox?

You will need a code reader to reset the code but if you haven't resolved the issue that put it on in the first place it will come back on and if you're doing it to pass inspection, it will still fail because the monitors won't be ready. If you live near an AutoZone, they will reset it for free.
