My car is misfiring

I changed all spark plugs and the boot is connecting the arch. The car shakes and it sounds like its about to stall out. It makes those noises when i floor it and in the lower rpm's of my gear on a manual transmission. however stops once i reach the mid portion of the gear.

Does the engine ever smooth out and run correctly? It sounds like you have an ignition coil that is failing but to be sure check out this guide:

Hi,

Recently I had a new clutch put in my car (06 Chevy Cobalt 2.0 SS Supercharged. As the clutch manufacturer states, I gave it about 500 miles of light city driving before slowly starting to drive it normally again. A thing I have been noticing since though is that whenever I push the throttle in to accelerate moderately to hard, the car will hesitate and just not go, until it suddenly starts grabbing about 1 sec later. This happens right after shifting. It seems fine when I stay in a gear while coasting for abit and then accelerate.

Since the engine RPM is not increasing during the hesitation I can say that it is not the clutch slipping. I wonder if this could be related to the new clutch nevertheless. It's been about 2000 miles ago that I got it put in. Another thing I think the problem might be from is the catalytic converter. When I get under the car and hit it with my fist it seems to have some loose, rattling parts in it. I can also hear it rattling while driving sometimes. Could my problem be related to that? I guess something might have come loose, or it internally collapsed and is now blocking the exhaust flow.

There don't seem to be any vacuum leaks on the intake (I can't hear any at least). Would checking the fuel pressure/pump be the right direction for this?

Could be an excessive backpressure in the exhaust system being caused by a clogged/melt down catalytic converter-get it pressure tested or gas analysis tests to confirm it.

Bought the car used in October - seems to be missing. Just had the oil changed. What is the average cost for a diagnostic? For a tune up? And fuel filter change?
It misses even while idling.

If its missing it should be throwing out codes-Get the the computer scanned for code/s at Autozone its free service and comeback if any-
