2007 Chevrolet Avalanche Scratch on Car

My car got scratched to the metal where the door's meet, now my neighboor has a basketball net next to my car so I think the basketball could have made the scratch. Could a basketball possibly make a scratch that big, or was it something else?

the most a basketball would do is leave scuffing which would come off with polish. it' s something else
