What might have caused this.

I have a 2007 chevy avalanche and it only has 26400 miles on it.The transmission is not changing into 3rd gear and temp was 239*. What might have caused this. I checked fluid level and it is ok

Could be a shifting solenoid or a valve body also might want to have the TPS and VSS sensors checked too or have it pressure tested to find out more what's going on.
