After freezing rain I opened the drivers door and now it will not close.

I have verified that there is no ice build up, but the door doesn't seem to want to close all the way and the latch mechanism is not engaging. It appears to be in the "unlocked" position.

What can I do / try to get the door to latch???

When you close the door, does it latch at all? Does it feel like it is not even closing the entire way? Have you checked to make sure the latch assembly is opening so that it can attach when you close the door? Have you tried moving the latch by hand and spraying lube on it?

Here is a guide

The door does not latch at all. It does not feel or look like it is closing all the way. The latch assembly is in the open position and moves freely when I check it manually. I do not have any wd40 or similar lube to be able to spray it.
