The car seems to bump when you press on the brakes, not smooth when stopping. I have a 2007 Cadillac ext. What would cause this and why. The car only has 40,000 miles and they say it isn't covered under warranty. they say i need to have the router turned.

what you have is pulsation. As your brakes wear the heat that is created warps your rotors. usually a brake job is required to fix this. The rotors are then turned ( trued up) and new pads are installed.
