I'm not getting any current to my fuel pump, checked everything from the relay to the fuse. It acts like it has an inertia switch but can't find one nor does Chilton list one. Can someone send me in the right direction?

Inertia switches are a silly, troublesome Ford thing. You should have voltage to the fuel pump for no more than one second after turning on the ignition switch. The pump will turn on again during engine rotation, (cranking or running). That is a safety feature designed in to shut the pump off if a fuel line gets ruptured in a crash.

Thank you. It's a vehicle a friend of mine is working on and I'm sure he turns the key on and then goes back to check for power to the pump it has already shut off. Now that I think about it my truck does the same thing. Brain Fart
