Hello,

My car was parked in a parking lot when struck. The hit dislodged the car from park and sent it about 140 ft into bushes. The transmission began shifting very poorly about a week later. Since then I have had an oil change and when on the lift it was noted that there was a leak in the rear main seal and "a lot of play" when the car was parked. Is it possible that the accident has caused these issues?

If the car was sent 140 ft, I'm surprised it's still driveable at all.

I doubt the hit could have caused the rear main to leak. But yeah, it could definitely have messed with the transmission
