Hatch lights not working

Need to know which ECM or power source controls the lights in the hatch? The third brake light works, the hatch release and the license plate lights all work, and the bulbs are new. Only the row of lights in the hatch are not working. Does not seem to be getting power to them. Any ideas?

For all who have the same problems. If your rear lights work but the tailgate lights do not check the tailgate sensor or sensor connection. The lights on the tailgate (hatch) are supposed to work when it is closed. If the sensor is not functioning, the car will not know that the hatch is closed that is why only the rear light on the rear bumper work. I had the same problem and turned out that I forgot to connect back the tailgate sensor.

Check that the brake light switch located at the top of the brake pedal under the dash is working, start here.

Hello everyone,

There is a brake light relay that will work with the tail lights as well. Below are some wiring diagrams that show the fuses involved to help get the problem fixed.

Please let us know happens so it will help others.

Best, Ken
