2006 Volvo V50 Cannot Remove Ignition Key Ignition Does Turn Way O Position

Cannot remove ignition key from ignition. Key does not turn all the way to the "O" position. Car in "Park" , hand brake on, foot on brake. Is there a solution or is something broken ???

How is the battery? If battery is weak the key wll get stuck. If battery is good then the start control unit is faulty. You need to replace it and program a new key.
