Engine sounds high pitched and strangled when driving

Especially accelerating. Engine smokes/burning oil when slowing down/stopping. Engine is 1.4l, no warning lights, seems to be enough coolant and oil.

Could be a loose or worn serpentine belt. check engine vacuum if 15" or below check for clogged converter or exhaust. check fuel pressure.
