The car does not turn over at all. When it starts it it fine.

I have a vauxhall vectra. When I try to start it in the mornings the symbol of a car with lock in roof comes The car starts eventually but only after locking and unlocking several times and going through the start up procedure a dozen or sometimes more. It is not the battery maybe the locking system.

try resetting your antitheft system. if this is like american gm cars, turn thekey on until the security light goes out, up to 10 minutes. then turn teh key off and try to start the car
