Had a slight noise coming from my car whilst driving yesterday it was making a slight humming sound whilst accelorating in gear. This morning iv gone to move the car and it was very juddery and i struggled to get out of reverse gear. Once i started going forward it shuddered to start with then drove fine but has now got a very loud whirling/screeching sound when accelorating. The car starts fine and makes no noise when out of gear and accelerate. I would like some advice before driving to garage incase i could be causing more damage by driving it. Thanks

Is this a manual or automatic transmission? Have you checked to make sure the accessory belts are tight?

Since I'm not there to hear it, start by checking to see if the belt is loose and making the squealing nose. Also, see if the noise may be coming from the clutch.
