Enter your question.2006 Tacoma @ 126,000 I had the transfer case flushed and the lubricant replaced. The dealer service department drained the oil but did not replace it. I know because it was making noise and I checked it. The plugs were not tight all the way and the box was empty. (1)What lube goes in it? (2)If it's not toast how can I get more miles out of it? (3)will this effect anything else: beside my relationship with this shop?

If I were you, I wouldn't touch it at all. That would be just taking them off the hook. I would have it towed back to them and demand they rebuild the transfer case or at least get it documented that it happened for later actions.
