I have the car listed above S. I think they exhaust manifold might be broken. About how much does it cost on average to have repaired at a shop? Also, if it is not the exhaust manifold, what else can it be? The car sounds loud and it sounds like it is coming from the front end of the vehicle and if I run the A/C I can smell exhaust fumes coming into the cab of the vehicle. I can also smell it if I am standing on the outside of the vehicle and the engine is running. Everything else seems to be running and acting normal. I just need to know how much it will cost, so that I can save up the money.

Hello, I'm Danny.

It can be 1 of 2 things. If the exhaust gasket has failed you can replace. If the manifold is damaged-cracked it cannot be repaired and will need to be replaced. Here is a basic tutorial showing how to remove an exhaust system:

I've attached picture steps below on how to remove and replace the exhaust manifold and complete exhaust system including the muffler on your car. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
