I have a problem with my back lights. The back lights would stay on sometimes and would cause my battery to go dead, and I have to get a jump.

You have probably lost the rubber button that the brake light switch lands against to shut the brake lights off. They rot out and fall off all the time. Just look under the dash at the brake light switch and see if it is there.
