cd player stopped working

I have a 2006 xl-7. The cd player stopped working and will not take in CD's. I bought a second OEM radio on Ebay and the exact same thing is happening. I doubt the second radio has the same issue. Any ideas what could case this? Thanks

Check that the rasdio voltage is ok, check that earths are clean and tight, start here.
