2006 Subaru Wrx Hi 06 Tr About 110 000 Miles On Just Recently Within Last 6 9

Hi, i have an 06 wrx TR with about 110,000 miles on it. I just recently within the last 6-9 months had a new clutch installed. Rarely, 1 time a month at least or 1 time every couple of months i have to literally PULL it hard into second gear. It acts like it wont go in and i have to pull HARD and pop it in and then after that it works fine again for another month or so. Any suggestions? I'm wondering if the guy who did my clutch did it wrong (friend of my wifes) or another issue? THANKS!

Does it always go into first and reverse OK?
