is timing belt replacement and how soon?

I personally recommend every 80K. However, you should follow the manufacturer's recommendations. To be honest, I would recommend replacement. If it breaks, I believe it is an interferance engine. What I mean by that is there isn't enough room in the combustion chamber between the piston and valves. What happens is the piston hits top dead center and if a valve is open it will get bent. Then you end up with major engine problems.
