When we try to use either key fob to lock or unlock our doors to our 2006 Subaru Forester, they sometimes work and sometimes not. This has only happended since moving from Washington State to Arizona State. We have replaced the key fob batteries. Also the compass in the rear view mirror no longer works.

Is this problem happening in common places, or is it random? take note of where it happens and see if there is any commonality with the locations.

It happens in my drive way, at the grocery store, at the mall. It seems to happen more as the temperture rises here in Arizona.

OK, I would next run a scan and see if there are any codes, there may be a problem is part of the circuitry that may be affected by higher temp, this may show up as a component fault code.
