Car won't start. I hear a click when trying to start the car. Battery checked OK. Tried jump starting from a friend's car...no luck.

Sounds as if the starter is at fault, if you can check power at teh small solenoid wire at the starter, it should power up with the key on crank. If so you should hear the solenoid engage, if you have 12V at the main starter terminal as well and nothing happens, the starter is faulty.
