i just bought a wrecked 2006 scion xb in an auction it said runs and drives but it didn't. i first taught that was the exterior fuse box because it was broken but after replacing the broken relays it still didn't run. it only cranks. can somebody help me please. the battery didn't work either and i already replaced it.

The first thing we need to do is check for spark or fuel to see which system has failed, also can I ask if the security light is flashing? If so this is the problem and we should do a hard reboot of the system which this guide can show you.

If the engine does not run on starting fluid I would try swapping out he crankshaft sensor which is a common failure. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
