How long can I drive my 2006 Saturn Ion 2 with the right front wheel bearing making a noise? It haven't started making a grinding noise yet, I jack the wheel of the ground and shake the wheel but I didn't feel any play in the wheel bearing and the wheel seem to spin ok.

There is no set time on how long you can drive on a bad wheel bearing. All I can say is it will get worse and worse as time goes on. When they start making noise on my car I replace them as soon as I can. The sooner the better.

Could you feel the bearing was bad by turning it without the axle in it?You did feel the bad bearing thru the coil spring while turning the tire? The other side felt OK?In neutral while driving the noise was still there?

No I could not feel the bearing was bad by turning it without the axle in it. Yes I did feel the bad bearing thru the coil spring while turning the tire, the other side felt OK In neutral while driving I still hear the noise. The noise could be coming from a rear wheel?

It could be hard to say without hearing it. You can check it the same way in the rear.
