I've was told my timing chain needs replacement on my 2007 Saab 9-5 wagon. Rattle noise. Estimate $3,000. Sounds like a lot. I trust my mechanic. He would not cut corners, but this seems very high. Any thoughts?

pays 16 hours in labor plus all the parts. it may sound high but he is within 10%.
