2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Replace Battery 6 Cyl Gt Really Disassemble Fuse Box

How do I replace the battery in my 6 Cyl, 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix GT ? Do I have to really disassemble the fuse box or can you just move it out of the way? I know you have to remove the brace. Don't understand why someone would pack a battery away is such a place.

the fuse box moves out of the way with 2 nuts. remove the brace, battery hold down and cables. the battery will have to be lifted out on its side.
