radio display shows a "locked" message and radio will not turn off when engine is off. Is there a code?

If your battery was recently disconnected or run dead, that can also make the radio lock up. If you don't know the code to unlock it, the dealer can get a code out of it that can be translated by calling their 800 number. That will get them the unlock code they might do that for free.

Electrical problem
2006 Pontiac G6 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 66,000 miles

I have just changed the battery in my car and noticed the radio is not working and it's in "LOCKED" mode. Also, the speedometer gauge is malfuncting.

to unlock the radio you need a tech 2 scan tool to perform a vin relearn on the radio.
