2006 Nissan Tiida install temp guage

I want to install an after market water temp gauge tapping into the water hose but I am not sure which water hose top or bottom to cut & install the pipe for the sender I would like some advice on this please

if the temp gauge is electric it will need aground wire if installing in a hose. the top radiator hose will be ok but temp gauge will read a little hotter than temp actually is.

Thanks for the reply I actually went ahead & cut the bottom hose is it ok to use the bottom hose
For the ground does the wire have to go directly to the pipe or attach to the sender

bottom hose is ok ground wire attachs to sender
