car makes a high pitched ringing noise for a split second when I turn it on and then constantly when I accelerate. When stopped or idling, there's no sound.
There's nothing wrong with my car outside of that. The engine is very loud, though. Sounds like a dump truck, you can't even talk over it. I've included a youtube link that I made of the sound it's making.

Sounds like the belt tensioner bearing. I had one go some time ago and could not find out where the noise was comming from. I went to a auto store and got a auto stethoscope {about 4.00 but worth it. I checked the engine pump and nothing along with the a/c pump {with a/c on and nothing. got to the housing for the belt tensioner and could hear a grinding sound. Just keep the scope away from moving parts. You can find a lot by just listening to the noise it makes. With it ideling it might not make a noise until you speed the engine up. You did not say it was a squeling sound so I don't think it's the belt.
