while trying to start the car the littie red security light stay on and the car want start is there any way i can get the light off i try locking the doors and useing the romote

Your possibilities here could be the key switch, key lock solenoid, body control and powertrain control module-You need to bring it in to the dealership they have the CONSULT2 to check the anti theft system-

Electrical problem
2000 Nissan Maxima 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

A friend set off my alarm using key in trunk without dissarming system. Now car won"t start. I've tried a number of things to reset system (key in drivers door, arm then dissarm system after waiting 20 minutes, etc.) How do know if problem is with the anti-theft system or a starter/battery issue??

Usually factory alarms have an indicator in the dash that tells you if their alarm is activated.Is this factory or aftermarket? Did you try locking/unlocking another door besides the drivers? trunk?
