2006 Mitsubishi L200 About 5 Seconds After Stopping Engine Removing Key Ignition

About 5 seconds after stopping the engine and removing the key from the ignition there is a series of 5 short beeps.

This is clearly a warning of something but I can't find any reference to this in the manual or online.

Any thoughts please?

Most probably the security system is preparing to arm itself.
