while driving 15 MPH i accidently slammed the car in park, the gears grinded and came to an immediate stop, we then put it back in driv enad had no problems now about 2 weeks later, when the car gets inbetween 35-40 mph it jumps slightly and almost feels like its skipping a gear, i was told i probably broke a tooth and now need a new or rebuild my transmission is this correct?
