2006 Mitsubishi Galant Exhaust leak.

Exhaust leak at around 2000 RPM. leaks at the crossover pipe flange. I replaced the gasket, it also looks like it compresses the spring bolts and causes the pipes to separate enough to cause the leak. Is the exhaust clogged or the cat converter faulty?

I would need more information to answer. I do not think at 75k miles that the cat would be the issue, is the exhaust plugged? If it were then the engine would struggle to make 2000 RPM.
