I have got the entire undercarriage (L&R both upper & lower control arm and ball joint assembly, link arms, stabilizer bar and bushings(twice), front shock absorbers plus mountings). In spite all these, I'm now at dead end! We can't find the solution to these knocking sound. Ironically, it only comes in after about 10-15min of drive. Just came back from the garage to replace the stabilizer bushings and the link arms for the second time. And the sound is still there. HELP. I can't drive with these noise.

IS THE KNOCKING "IN SYNC" WITH TERRAIN CHANGES OR IS IT RANDOM OR WHEN IN A "STRAIN" (LIKE GIVING IT GAS)

WHAT ABOUT ENGINE/ TRANNY MOUNTS?

ADD ANYTHING ELSE THAT MIGHT BE HELPFUL--PART OF YOUR INFO UP TOP, WAS CUT OFF

'BOUT ALL I CAN OFFER

BUT KEEP RESPONDING, OTHERS ARE GOOD ABOUT JUMPING IN WITH IDEAS

Yes, the 'knocks' comes in when driving on normal road randomly. I would say that its not due to terrain change. Normal driving on the road creates this sound. But this only happens after some time of driving. I did a simple 'experiment' just now. Whenever the knocks kick in, I did a full steering lock (both left and right) and drove off. The knocks seems to be gone but comes back again after a while of driving.

Also all engine mountings have been replaced recently.

MAYBE YOU NEED TO GET IT THERE AND GIVE IT SOME "TOUGH LOVE"!

AS YOU MAY ALREADY KNOW SOME OF THESE OPERATIONS THAT MAY HAVE BEEN PERFORMED MAYBE PRIOR TO THIS ISSUE MAY HAVE CAUSED IT. YOU SORTA DIDN'T LIST WHERE THIS PROBLEM STARTED ON A "TIMELINE", IN RELATION TO WHAT WAS DONE PRIOR---AND WHAT WAS DONE AFTER

OLE JIMBOB AT THE MAINTENANCE DEPOT MAY HAVE BEEN MORE INTERESTED IN TEXTING, INSTEAD OF PROPERLY DOING HIS JOB TO THE BEST OF HIS ABILITY. AND EVEN THE BEST OF PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES AND OVERLOOK STUFF. AND THEN AGAIN, STUFF JUST SOMETIMES HAPPENS!

LET'S GET SOME INPUT FROM A MECHANICAL MINDED, ATTENTIVE BUDDY!

TAKE HIM FOR A DRIVE. MAYBE TO START WITH, ON A REALLY SMOOTH STRETCH OF ROAD.

TRY TO ISOLATE WHETHER IT'S COMING FROM THE FRONT/ BACK/ MIDDLE OF OUR RIG

. ROLL THE WINDOWS DOWN AND LET HIM HANG OUT OF EITHER SIDE, SORTA LIKE "ROVER" DOES, SEE WHICH SIDE IT'S GENERATING FROM. MAYBE YOU WON'T HAVE TO GO FAST TO STILL HEAR IT

MAYBE THIS SECOND OPINION WILL AID YOU IN FINDING OUT EXACTLY WHAT CONDITIONS MAKE IT HAPPEN

ONCE YOU GATHER THIS INFO, YOU CAN MAYBE "GET 'IM UP ON JACKSTANDS" OR "TAKE 'IM WAY OUT THERE TO THE MA AND POP UN-BUSY FILLING STATION". WHERE THEY MIGHT PUT 'IM ON THE RACK, AS A FAVOR OR WITH A SMALL DONATION. UP IN THE AIR MIGHT GIVE YOU A CHANCE TO SEE AND PHYSICALLY SHAKE STUFF. LIKE THE EXHAUST OR STEERING STUFF. INSURE YOU TAKE A REALLY BRIGHT LIGHT WITH YOU

ONCE I HAD A DINGA--DING--DINGA--DINGA ISSUE GOING. IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY FOR WEEKS. WHEN MY BUDDY RODE WITH ME AND I EXPLAINED THE ISSUE

. HE POINTED OUT THAT IT WAS MY KEY CHAIN ORNAMENT, AN INERT RIFLE THE CARTRIDGE. THE ACTUALLY PROJECTILE HAD FELL OUT AND THE CASING WAS ACTING LIKE A BELL. DUH!

BE THOROUGH, TAKE YOUR BUDDY WITH YOU FOR THE WHOLE PROCESS. NOTHING LIKE THEIR ENDLESS BRAGGING, WHEN THEY DISCOVER THE PROBLEM!
