Engine change

I change engine on my 2006 mazda 3 2.3L for a 2011 2.3L engine. When I started it stays iddlying at 1,800 rpm and it did not accelerate. Check engine light is on. Any thoughts??

I would be thinking that the ECU may not be compatible, have you been able to extract any codes as yet?
