I have the vehicle listed above 6 speed transmission and 250hp 6 cylinder. I live in New Jersey had lots of snow and ice. I started the car the other day and the brake warning light yellow, check engine light and slippery display are on and won't go off. It says check VSC on the main display. My mechanic says it should reset but it hasn't. The car is drivable. Do I need to take it to Lexus dealer?

Hello, I'm Danny.

No, you don't have to necessarily go to a dealer for that. Most auto shops can check these codes for you. This means you have codes stored in your vehicles computer relating to the brakes, ABS- anti lock brake system, and the engine. The first thing you need to do is access the stored codes. If you don't have access to a scanner or code reader most auto parts stores have a tool loaner program and can rent you one. Auto parts stores like AutoZone can check codes for free. Just be sure the scanner has anti lock brake system capability. Here is a tutorial showing what is involved checking codes:

Once you perform this get back to us with the code information and we can then properly diagnose these issues. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
