2006 Kia Sportage Trying Remove Rear Brake Discs They Won T Come Off Move Out

trying to remove my rear brake discs, but they won't come off, they move out a little then move back in, i've tried hand brake on and off, and i'm at a loss.
is there a knack to it, or am i just missing something out?
any help plzzzz

The handbrake shoes are holding the rotor. You need to loosen the hadnbrake adjustments to allow the disc to come off.
Turn the adjuster (item # 11) untill the shoes are free.
