The car is not idling, and I was told it needed the surge tank replaced, because the one it has is damaged with a hole, so I have to replace it.

What are they referring to as a surge tank? Idle problems are usually caused by a vacuum leak or a bad idle air control valve.

I got a diagnostic because it was not idling when I put it on gear it shuts off. They said it has a hole on the surge tank and they put it has a very large vacum leak on the paper they gave me. So it recommends a new surge tank. I don't know where the surge tank would be located.

I found out that the surge tank is part of the Intake Manifold upper section. But I can't find this part anywhere with the name Surge Tank. I think it is named differently.
