2006 Kia Sedona Remote On 06 Will Consistently Lock Unlock Doors Sometimes

The remote on my 06 Kia Sedona will not consistently lock and unlock the doors. sometimes it won't work at all at other times you have to be within a couple of feet from the vehicle. I have replaced the batteries in the remote. What else can I do to fix the problem/

If you have a spare fob, use that to test. If problem is resolved, it could be the fob button that is not contacting correctly.
