the car jerks while trying to run at a steady speed, dosen't mater if the OD is on or off always at around 1500 to 1700 rpms, stops if I accelerate or decelerate.

Is the Malfunction Indicator Light showing? Is it jerking or surging? Have you checked the spark plugs and related somponents?
