Jeep commander 2006 liftgate problem

Hi, i have a Jeep Commander 2006 limited v8 4.7, everything is OK except the rear lift gate, i can't open it, i don´t know what the problem is, any help?.

fuse 9 in your power dist center undrhood is a 40amp fuse , check that first.othere wise have apro look at it as it can be several things. you can also check the switch to see if it's sending power, but there are sensor forpinch as well as a module and all of those or one may be bad or not working.

I also had problems opening and closing the tailgate on my 2007 CRD model. After doing all the normal checks - remote battery - fuses etc I found that by simply continuing to press the open and close remote button, the tailgate eventually started to operate as normal.
