My AC went out today. The fan that is in front of the passenger seat would make an awful noise when it was turned on but would stop after a minute or two. Well today when it stopped so did the ac. It will not blow or do anything. I also smell plastic in the car. What could be the problem?

the control on dash burnt up or the blower motor. have a local pro look at it.
